Link3d Up

Students cover sessions in identifying their strengths; resilient thinking and shifting pessimistic thoughts to a more optimistic thoughts; enhancing group connections to others; and developing their own kindness projects. Students will complete an On Line Snap Shot at the conclusion of the program to reflect on how they have changed and how these new skills will help them in the future.

What is the Resilience?

A child has the task of developing and growing to be an adult in this world to potentially contribute to society in a positive and beneficial way. To do this, children will need to develop a healthy self-esteem, be confident, and have effective social skills and a good understanding of themselves in this world. An important foundation for all of these tasks is the development of resilience.

Resilience can be defined as the ability to cope with difficulties in life. It doesn’t mean that difficulties don’t occur, or that somehow some people don’t feel the stress of life; rather it is the ability to cope with stress and remain hopeful when the difficulties occur (Worsley, 2011 p.3.).
